The major objective of this workshop lies in gathering scientists, researchers, industrial engineers from the combustion research community in China and Russia to foster an environment conducive to exchanging ideas and information. Participants will present and discuss advances and perspectives on two major issues of gas turbine combustion: research and application of low-carbon fuels, as well as research and development of low-emission technologies. Additionally, the workshop will provide a platform for both sides to promote research collaborations in the relevant areas.

The workshop will include plenary lectures and keynote lectures, as well as invited lectures. The topics include, but not limited to:

• Reaction Kinetics including kinetics of low-carbon and hydrogen-based fuels, formation of gaseous pollutants, and mechanism generation, analysis and reduction.
• Lab-scale Experiment and Diagnostics including experiments and laser diagnostics applied to understand and control ignition, propagation, extinction, stabilization, dynamics, instabilities, and emissions in lab-scale facilities related to low-emission technologies and applications of low-carbon fuels.
• Modeling and Simulation including modeling methods, simulations of turbulent flames of low-carbon fuels, and high-performance computing work related to gas turbine combustion.
• Real-scale Tests including device-specific aspects of fuels, emissions, stability, and combustion dynamics (e.g. ignition, quenching, thermoacoustics) related to low-emission technologies and applications of low-carbon fuels in gas turbines.
